Dr. gave me multivitamin but it is not regressing much. My biopsy report hyperplastic squamous epithelium no dysplasia and malignancy seen. Should I go for surgical procedure to remove it. Very tensed .we're in Pune can I go for surgical removal. Will it turn into cancer. Pls advice. How much time will it take to regress.

Leukoplakia usually take a long time to regress after quitting tobacco chewing. Even though the Biopsy is reported as hyperplastic squamous epithelium without dyplasia, I would like to see the same to make sure it is not suspicious clinically. On a few occasions after seeing the lesion, we advise for removal of the lesion, if clinically suspicious despite Biopsy being negative as some times there may be cancer in areas other than where Biopsy was taken or chances of developing cancer in future.
