In cervical spine, nerve is getting compressed at C5, 6 and 7. Their is lot of pain around the left shoulder and sometimes numbness in left thumb and little finger. I was seeking a Neurologist and he said that surgery is required. Please advise how we can avoid the surgery.

Dear friend, You can always take a second opinion. However please note if a neurologist has advised surgery, he must have noted signs like weakness or other signs of deficit that will require surgical intervention.
