Sir I have diabetes since 8 years. I have tested my blood samples in lab and readings are FBS 100 and PPBS 190. Sometimes, I will have itching in my foot and it may starting stage of diabetic foot problems. Will you advise any solution or blood sample testing to check diabetic foot problem or I should consult dietician on this problem. Please advise solution to it.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. Your blood glucose levels look fairly good. (PP ideally should be <170 mg). What is the HbA1c%? It should be < 6.8. Usually when diabetes continues for a number of years, it does cause peripheral neuropathy. This can lead to burning sensation in the feet or tingling and numbness also. Most important is to maintain a strict blood glucose control and see that no injury occurs to the feet. Because in some people due to severe neuropathy there may be lack of sensation in the feet, and injuries are not noticed. Then there is a serious problem. Presently there is no such issue with you.
