I am 73 years old. Diabetic since 1995. I am suffering from very dry skin since the last around 7-8 years. I do apply moisturizer like Nivea lotion meant for very dry skin twice a day. Is this application for long periods is safe?

Hello, Thanks for the query. Applying a moisturising lotion or cream for log time is not harmful. Problems occur if one is sensitive to any of the ingredients in it. Thanks.

You can use a moisturiser. Avoid if you have any reaction or side-effects. You should also do some minor corrections in your daily routine. Drink enough water (keep the body well hydrated, drink 8-10 glasses of water ). Have more vegetables and fruits. Avoid frequent use of soaps (avoid medicated soaps in daily use ). Have a balanced diet (homemade - freshly prepared food is always a good option ). You can try Homeopathy which can rectify the chronic tendencies naturally. You can contact me for a detailed consultation.
