I am having lot of painless lumps in my arms, lower back and few on chest and thigh. I am very scared to consult any doctor as I don't know whom to consult. Is it a sure shot sign of cancer? Can I suggest few doctors in Pune?

Most common cause of multiple painless lumps over the body is Dercums disease. These are benign subcutaneous lipomas which are interspersed all over body, especially over the extremists. They donot need any treatment and can be observed unless cosmetics is a problem. If any of the lipoma starts growing rapidly then its needs excision as it may have a sarcomatous chance, which is cancer. However the chances of such transformation are very rare. The second cause is neurofibromatosis, which is a genetically inherited disorder. Which has multiple other features. But these are nodules in the skin rather than subcutaneous lumps and will also be present on face. Melanoma may present with multiple lesions in the skin, along the extremity as skip mets, but these are usually pigmented. This is less likely is your case. I hope I was able to solve your query.
