I am having a swollen lymph node in my right underarm for a year now. I got this after my chicken pox I think and it did not go away. I consulted few doctors and they have told that it's nothing to worry about and gave medicines. I couldn't continue it. It causes no harm or any discomfort as such. What should I do?

Hi, Usually chicken pox does not leave residual lymphadenopathy. Better to get an FNAC or a core Biopsy of the same, preferably USG guided (if core Biopsy, send it for histopathology, AFB Smear & culture, routine culture& Genexpert) as it could be a sign of tuberculosis or a slow growing cancer. If reactive on core biopsy then observe the same. If inconclusive then an excision Biopsy is recommended. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to share your reports or discuss this further.
