I have a burning and much pain backside where the stool passes. I have consulted the doctor and he told me that I have a scratch and if the stool is hard it will take time. I am taking medicine since 10 days but there is no signs of cure till date. I am using a tube prescribed as pilo nim, can I use candid total plus on that place.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user It seems you have problem of Anal Fissure. Fissure is mostly self-healing (in >90% cases. You just have to take few precautions and follow some conservative measures: Treat constipation - drink lots of fluids, have green vegetables, salad. If it doesn't get better, you can take Syp. Cremaffin 10-15 ml at bedtime for few days or Isabgol 2 spoon in milk: Conservative measures- - Sit in a tub filled with warm water twice or thrice daily for 10-10 minutes each time - you can apply lignocaine jelly on fissure, 5 minutes before going for toilet.
