Dear. lybrate-user Pain in breasts, tingling sensation (pricking pains) around the areola (black part surrounding nipples) is a common symptom during pregnancy because of normal physiological breast changes in pregnancy. Later on you may experience breast milk discharge which is also normal. Just be regular with your Antenatal checkups and don't hesitate to ask your gynecologist to examine your breasts if needed.

Breast pain during pregnancy is usually due to hormonal changes, which leads to congestion, heaviness and pain in the breast But it is better to show to a Breast Surgeon, who would examine you and if need be, ask for an ultrasound examination.
