I have a son having age 5 months. But he suffering from frequent motion from last 10 days including some watery content. My paediatric prescribed cefpodoxime antibiotic but even after 10 days there is no major relief from this Please advise what shall I do.

Before 6 months if baby has been exclusively breastfed then chances of infection are rare. If outside milk is going on better to sterilize the containers before using it toncut down chances of infection. You can give zinc dose of which will be given by your doctor. You can plan to send investigation stool RM to see for any infection in stool and as per report start a treatment. Due to teething during this stage of life infant place their hands in their mouths leading to infection and later diarrhoea so try to keep hands and surface of the child clean. Also keep the toys clean as many times children pick infection from these toys also.
