Doc, I am 20 years old and just got married. We had an intercourse (for the first time) on 19th April and unfortunately the protection method we used (Condom) didn't worked. After intercourse we recognise that it is broken. So as we decided to take contraceptive pill and I took one (I pill). I took the medicine right after 75 hours after intercourse. Don't know it worked or not. And today, on the 11th day after intercourse, we took a pregnancy test using a test kit and the result was negative. But the problem is, as per my menstrual cycle my period date was 27th April, I missed that period and its not arrived yet. Why this is happening. Am I pregnant. Is there any connection between my periods and that negative result.

Emergency contraceptive pill has to be taken within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse. As your pregnancy test is negative wait for 7 days ,if you still do not get your periods then repeat urine pregnancy test, if it's still negative then take medicine for withdrawal bleeding. Delay in periods could be due to I-pill intake.
