I have pcos and I have been prescribed carbophage xr 500' to be taken two times a day. How long will it take to be effective in helping me reduce my excessive facial hair growth? (approximately)

The medicine you are taking contains metformin which helps in reducing insulin resistance, but does not really help in reducing excess facial hair growth. You need to consult your dermatologist again regarding this. Laser hair removal is the only solution for permanently reducing hair growth in case of PCOS.
