I have a hearing problem. From the right ear, my hearing power is low as compared to left ear. On check-up, It is found a hole in the eardrum. A doctor suggested me for operation. My question is, Does operation helps me in gaining back my lost hearing power? What are the chances of gaining it back?

If you won't do your operation, there is a great chance of increasing the whole. N as the hole increase, you will lose your hearing power more. But if you do your operation it will improve your hearing sensitivity. But you won't gain your hearing power as much as your other ear directly. It will take some time. But it surely will.
