lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Fasting glucose 300 mg is too high. In this situation only Glimiperide 1 mg (Amaryl 1) is unlikely to be adequate. Even the other tablet Zoryl 1 mg is same. His treatment needs to be upgraded right away, by adding some appropriate drugs. Since there is no mention of any other relevant details it is difficult to advise. It is better to contact your diabetologist and get the treatment upgraded. Or else please come back with following details" current fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, BP reading, blood urea, creatinine, microalbuminuria & lipid profile, in a private conversation (paid consultation) then I will be able to give specific guidance and even prescribe required medications.
