If you have a duct discharge then it is better to see a breast surgeon or a surgical oncologist. They would examine you and if needed ask for an ultrasound examination. There could be various causes for nipple discharge. Is the discharge through 1 nipple or both? Is it a single duct discharge or multiple duct discharge. What is the colour of the discharge. Milky white discharge from both nipples is most likely due to prolactin or TSH excess. It may also lead to pain. Yellowish discharge may be due to infection or inflammation like periductal mastitis (especially seed in smokers). Greenish coloured discharge is usually due to duct ectasia, which is benign dilatation of the duct which usually resolves spontaneously. Serous i.e. Colourless or blood stained discharge is usually due an intraductal papilloma which may rarely harbour a cancer in about 5% of cases. Hence, if an intraductal papilloma is detected, usually a surgical removal is advised. Also pagets disease of nipple needs to be ruled out. Hi First you have to do an USG of abdomen. Then biopsy test has to be done to rule malignancy. For stopping nipple discharge take tranexamic acid 500 my tablet twice daily before food for 3 days.
