Hello Ma'am, My mom is having breast cancer and we did biopsy test. Below is the report: Nature of Material Received: Left breast lump Core Bx [1 Biopsy] Gross Description: Received multiple cores aggregating to 0.5x0.4 cm submitted entirely. Microscopic Description: Left breast core biopsy: Invasive breast carcinoma, no special type, Grade III. Modified R.B. Score: 3+3+3 = 9. Dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate is seen. Ductal carcinoma in situ is not identified. IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY, ER: Negative. PR: Negative. HER 2/neu (Ventana): Negative. Could you please me this report. Thanks.

It is a triple negative grade 3 invasive ductal cancer. The treatment will depend on clinical and mammography findings. If large tumor or nodes positive, she would need neoadjuvant chemotherapy with marker into the tumour especially if planning for breast conservation surgery. If small tumour, upfront surgery with breast conservation may be offered. Axillary surgery will be sentinel node biopsy if clinically negative nodes. If clinically positive or sentinel node is positive then Axillary clearance will be needed. If multifocal or very large tumour, then mastectomy would be needed. The chemotherapy is usually needed in triple negative cancers. Radiation is needed if conservation surgery is done. Also it is given post mastectomy if large tumour or nodes are positive.
