Hello, I am 67 Year old female suffering from hemorrhoids/piles. For the last one month I am undergoing lot of pain after stool and I am using ointment shield. There is allot of pain which does not subside and remains for a longer period .it happens with every passing stool twice a day. Please suggest the best treatment thru non surgical methods.

Hey Mr. lybrate-user, Thats external haemorrhoids, thrombosed may be, which can be very painful. 1.Sit on ice pack for 15 mins 3 times a day. The thrombosed piles get shruken and in 3 days you will just have skin tags which does not cause you any pain. 2. Take stool softners, Syp. Cremalax 10 ml 0-0-1 3.Take fibre rich food and plenty of water. Avoid non veg foods Wish you good health!

You must do sitz bath two times a day i.e. Hot water with dettol. Use lox 2 % ointment before going for stool. Also pls show a surgeon. Nowadays with laser treatment we can easily treat hemorrhoids.
