I am 24 years old and have been a smoker since past 3 years. From last 3-4 months, I've been feeling pain, sourness and mild swelling in my throat. I am scared if these are signs of cancer. I can't tell anyone about this problem of mine. Please help. What should I do?

Please see a head and neck surgeon or a Surgical oncologist. Usually the signs of throat cancer are change in voice, lump in the neck and difficulty swallowing. They would do an endoscopic examination to confirm the cause of your symptoms. Better to quit smoking as it can cause throat, lung, mouth, stomach, kidney cancer as well as lung problems like COPD. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to discuss this further.
