Hi sir. I am a male I am do unprotected sex with a girl later 9 months found she is hiv positive. Followup tests. 9 months post exposure hiv western blot negative. 10 months hiv elisa negative. 11 months hiv rna pcr qualitative not detected. 12 months hiv elisa total hbsag, hcv,vdrl all negative. 14 months post exposure hiv rna pcr qualitative not detected. 16 months post exposure near ictc all negative. 18 months post exposure hiv alere combo negative. My questions. 1. How accurate is a negative 3rd gen HIV antibody report and hiv combo report 1.7 years after exposure? 2.some doctor says hiv window period is 3 months to many years. 3.pls say what is the exact windowperiod. I am negative 100% any further test needed in years.
