Hello Doctor, I am 58 years old and had an umbilical hernia for 10 years -no symptoms during surgery for burst appendix in December 2017 the surgeon stitched it up I was told that a mesh was not placed because of the septic condition will a CT scan show whether its intact? What precautions should I take to see it does not return? If it does can I live with it? I ask because I was told I had lung issues -pleurisy -due to anesthesia thank you for your time warm regards
