My dad is feeling a burning sensation while he urinates. Also, he saw some blood stains in urine around 1 year back which is not seen anymore. We had consulted a doctor who is a urologist and he had advised with few medicines after diagnosing him. Now he doesn't see blood stains but he still has a burning sensation. Now the doctor is suggesting a surgery for prostate enlargement. He advised below medicines: Tab Urimax We also consulted another doctor just to take the second opinion before going to surgery. The other doctor also did the blood test, culture test, urine routine, urine culture, ultrascan, uroflowmetry and now suggesting for cystoscopy test and so far not mentioned anything about the prostate. Does cystoscopy help him determine about the prostate problem? We are little confused on what to do. The second doctor suggested below tablets: Tab Nimcef -ol, Tab Uticept and Tab Veltam plus Both doctors suggest blood and urine tests are normal but urine flow as per uroflowmetry is poor. Can you please suggest regarding this? Should we do the cystoscopy and then decide on surgery based on the outcome and is it safe to do cystoscopy?
