Dear Lybrate user, You need to modify your diet to fibre rich foods and take plenty of fluids. If you your stool soft then you piles may not increase and will reduce. Take laxatives for few days to soften your stools. Time of reduction depends upon how strongly you modify your diet. You can use pilorute and dobimust in this acute phase, it will work in reducing the edema. Inspite of all these for a month if your problem still continues then get it operated.
