Dear Lybrate user, - To reduce excess gas formation follow some dietary tips: - avoid fried, spicy & junk food, also restrict intake of tea, coffee to 1-2 cups per day, avoid gas forming foods such as beans, lentils, veg such as cauliflower, cabbage, radish, tomato, raw onion, garlic, sometimes it is due to dairy products - chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, have 4-5 small meals including snacks rather than three large meals for proper digestion, take a walk for 5-10 min after meals, have a light dinner at least 2-3 hrs before bedtime - have plenty of oral fluids including 7-8 glasses of water per day for proper hydration & digestion - take tablet Pan 40, 1 tablet daily half an hour before breakfast till symptoms subside - do regular exercise like walking, yoga & deep breathing for proper digestion - reduce weight by diet & exercise if overweight.
