Dear sir, I am suffering from tibia bone fracture ,and tibia interlocking nail operation done on dated 04 April 2018 ,but my leg swelling not remove till dated ,and tibia bone not completely healed. Kindly give me suggestions about swelling and bone healing. I am male age 48 yrs.

Kindly post your pre op and post op xray. It will take minimum of 6 to 8 months for fracture to unite. But swelling should reduce by 4 months. Use elastic crepe bandage while walking. And keep your leg elevated while sleeping. Keep doing knee movts.

Its been three months post surgery. Usually on and of swelling will be there in the limb, you can keep the leg elevated for the swelling to subside. Normally we wait for a minimum period of six months for the bone to unite. Do regular exercises visit the specialist for progression.
