Can laser be dose in lower leg veins or in thigh only. Also sclerotherapy is very painful for him. It is not helpful after some period of time. Hi. You will need a proper assessment of the leg veins with an ultrasound Doppler scan to note any valve incompetence in the major veins. Smaller veins in the legs are usually a result of the reflux. Sclerotherapy is known for repeated sessions due to recurrence. Laser/RFA/Glue are better options to treat the leaky major veins and is not known to cause any newer veins unlike open surgery.
