If I make a permanent tattoo on my body, will that resist me from giving blood to someone. Will donating blood after making tattoo causes any infection? Or it is just a myth?

Tattoo is an absolute contraindication for blood donation. There are a variety of infections that can be acquired while getting tattoo.

Yes,blood donation is prohibited for a person with tattoo Certain infections do pass into blood despite disposable needles because it's done in a shop,open places and not under sterile conditions Besides the tattoo colors,certain metals are present as special effects and diagnosis like MRI is difficult or impossible to do because of magnet effects of metals
