Hi doc I'm a housewife with 1 n half year old boy. I'm still feeding him. I've plenty of hair fall post delivery all my hair literally loosing every time I comb, oil or shampoo. Wat mite b d reason n wats d advice please help.

Hello, Hair fall post delivery is normal and happens due to multiple reasons. Hormones during pregnancy prevent hair fall by maintaining all hair follicles in the growing stage, this is why most people notice thicker and shinier hair during the months of pregnancy. Upon delivery these hormones reduce and the effect on hair is also reversed. This is most visible after three months of delivery and must recover by the 6th month. You must consult a dermatologist if the hair fall persists for longer than 6 months post delivery. A healthy diet along with hair vitamin supplements and few lotions that help in hair growth will be the solution of your problem.
