Please clean the child's mouth with a clean cloth (I suggest my patients to sterilise the cloth in microwave sterilizer if they have or in a pressure cooker) -Do not put the child to sleep while breastfeeding -The mouth should be clean when the child is asleep. No juices or sweeteners in pacifiers -After every meal clean the entire mouth with cloth.

Once cavities are formed, you can not reduce it. You can get them treated. Follow a simple routine of brushing. Also make sure that you give her water after milk. Coz milk if it remains in mouth causes cavities. Kidodent or any child toothpaste is fine.

Because she is just 1.8 years we donot recommened any other tooth paste. Should use only FLUORIDE FREE tooth paste for this age. Yes you can continue with kidodent as the kid is nearing 2 years. Avoid keeping feeding bottle in the mouth for the longer time, which made otherwise lead to nursing bottle caries. Its not neccessary that inspite of using good toothpaste, maintaing good oral hygiene ,will keep you cavity free. In some cases it might be heriditary.
