I am now 3 week post op acl surgery, after first week there is normal swelling, but from last two days there is sudden increase in swelling, I am doing icing two times a day, till no decrease in swelling, so is it normal? Or it is sign of deep infection? The incision and stitches are looking normal (no redness or puss) Does I will have to try medicine to reduce swelling?

Usually post op mild swelling will be there which will subside gradually over a period of time. But if you have developed excess swelling and any symptoms of fever and local rise of temperature then better consult the primary consultant for evaluation.
