Hi, I am 31 weeks pregnant and before the pregnancy I was having ring worm problem below my buttocks. I showed that to doctor and she prescribed Canditral 100 mg 2 times a day but then I conceived and I left to eat that med as it was not good for pregnancy. Now m 31 weeks still m having that ring and it scratches too much. Wanted to ask first, can that create a problem in my baby inside me?

Hi, Please do not scratch that lesions. Go for local ointment like candid or other anti fungal ointment.In 3rd trimester you can take antifungal treatment (After 28weaks. My advice is first look why you are suffering with fungal (Ring worm) infection. You are having high blood sugar or wearing wet clothes. Clean your body twise a day. Use candid pulv locally .apply anti fungal ointment in night. Or 2-3 times in a day. Wear neet ,dry (pressed) and loose clothsl. Avoid sex with partner if having fungal infection. Do HIV testing.
