Hello doctor, I have thalassemia major by birth and I am 23 years old. I do serum ferritin test in every 4 months .My latest ferritin level is 2491 and previous is 2498. And I am taking defrijet 1750 mg for iron chelation. So I want to ask you that is there any changes required in dosage as my ferritin is such increased? If any changes required pls help me. Thank u.

If we increase the dosage of defrijet, than you will have side effects of the drug which will interfere in your daily routine and it?s better to take it as it is with prescription and you can speak with your treating Hematologist for further guidance.
