I am diabetic for last 30 years and taking insulin inj. Two times, also taking amaryl m2 as an oral drug for diabetes. My liver was found fatty. I don't take alcohol. Doctor started udiliv-300 and evion400 twice daily. After 2 months my sgpt and sgot found normal, but again my sgpt 70 and sgot 54 found. Should I again take above medicines? I don't feel hungry.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. In persons with diabetes fatty liver does occur. There is no need to take alcohol at all. It is known as Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). There is no specific treatment for it other than controlling blood glucose effectively, exercising regularly and maintaining normal or near normal weight. Strict glucose control is a must. Thanks.
