X-Rays are very deceptive in head & neck region due to lot of superimposition of different tissues. Please undergo a plain CT scan of your paranasal sinuses in direct coronal view to confirm the diagnosis. The Maxillary Sinus is a hidden space, an extension of your nose where certain germs have taken refuge. These germs have created a mucus shield around themselves which cannot be penetrated by the regular antibiotics given by GPs. If this condition is confirmed on CT scan, your ENT Specialist will advise you the right treatment according to the findings of your scan.
