Hi Sir, My wife was administered with spenzo 40 'll about 19 months ago and she responded quite after that without any further medicine. When symptom of her schizophrenia reappeared recently, she was again given spenzo 40 'll yesterday. My question is after how many days/hours she will regain her normalcy. Now she is hardly responding to our talk and look depressed though she is doing all her normal house keeping activities. Thanks.

Sir, schizophrenia is not curable as yet. However you can her functional with medication but that may have to continue for the rest of her life. If she wants to get 'better' she must combine therapy with the medication. In counseling she will learn a lot of skills, tools and techniques to better handle herself with her disease. Schizophrenia is a very complex and difficult disease to treat, even with medication. All psychotropic medicines have side-effects: that is inescapable. In counseling she will also learn about emotions and how they can impact her condition adversely. Expressing emotions in an appropriate manner will equip her for life. Talking and sharing about the many disturbing thoughts and learning to understand yourself and moderate her responses will go a long way towards normalizing and training her mind. Exercise must be a regular part of her life for various reasons. Put her on a productive and strict schedule. The idle mind is the devil's workshop for sure, and more so for a schizophrenic.
