Dear lybrate-user, DOTS treatment means giving Antitubercular treatment directly under supervision of a medical officer and thus chances of missing a dose is less resulting in a better outcome and minimising the risk of development of drug resistant TB. Forecox is name of combination of four first line Antitubercular drugs and is given by private practitioners depending on patient 's body weight. TB treatment taken from private practitioners in proper doses and regularly for complete duration without any default is equally effective. TB Notification by the treating doctor is mandatory. Cure of TB depends on sensivity of TB bacteria for the anti tubercular drugs given. If fully sensitive and no other associated disorders leading to decreased peak concentration of drugs in blood then TB is curable for sure except in drug resistant TB cases where cure rates are less.
