My wife tested for pregnancy and hcg level is 6.56 and doctor said pregnant. After couple of days, doctor asked to re test again. Please advise whether pregnancy or not.

HCG levels <5 are considered nonpregnant ,HCG levels >25 confirm pregnancy. If levels are between 5-24 you need to retest the levels after 72 hrs to see how they're rising .if in 72 hrs the levels double then everything is normal.

6.5 is not pregnant. Do a check on the urine pregnancy kit.

Hcg levels above 5 is supposed to be pregnant. But it needs to be much higher. The test is usually repeated every 48 hrs and values should double. Do update with repeat results.
