I am 32 years old. Last year I had duct ectasia surgery of breast. Now I have 11 days baby. Recently delivered. First few days small drops of milk came from breast. But now no milk coming. May be channels are blocked. I also used suction pump but no result. please some one suggest me about this.

Depends on what surgery you had previously. Duct ectasia is a dilatation if the duct, usually leading to greenish coloured discharge, for which we recommend observation. If there is any intraductal lesion only then a microdochectomy is recommended. Sometimes a large number of ducts may be damaged during the surgery which can hamper the milk secretion from the breast. The other breast is secreting milk? If not then if may be a problem with letdown reflex. (unless duct ectasia surgery was on both sides) Better consult your gynaecologist for the same. She may give medication for the same. If it’s unilateral, then it is more likely to be a local problem. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to discuss this further.
