I have nasopharynx carcinoma. I have done radiotherapy for its metastasis at lymph node behind ear of both side. I was a swollen lymph node at left axillary that was negative in fnac. After treatment of 1.5 month pet scan shows again swollen lymph node at axillary that was vanished at the time of radiation therapy with concurrent chemo. Radiation not given to axillary lymph node but it again become large but it stable in size. Rest of disease cured with origin of Naso. Now doctor advised for 6 cycle of full chemo. Now what can I do these chemo in that hospital are very costly.

I would advise a core or an open Biopsy of the Axillary node, especially if they are planning chemotherapy due to the Axillary nodes only. It is unusual for a nasopharyngeal carcinoma to spread to the Axillary nodes without any other systemic spread. I would be able to opine better if you could send me all the detailed report. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to discuss this further.
