My wife is 27 years old and we got married at the end of April 2018, her LMP was 24-05-2018 and we went to a gynaecologist on 02-08-2018, UPT became negative, then we went for an ultrasound and its report says "Uterus: retroverted uterus normal is size. III-defined structure seen like gestational sac. No forbid seen. "5 mm thickness in the endometrium" Left and right ovary normal in volume and no abnormal cyst or mass seen. Cul de sac: No free fluid in cul de sac. Impression: Correlate with BETA HCG Then we went for Beta HCG (on 02-08-2018) and it showed <2.30 mIU/ml which was deduced as non-pregnancy. (early pregnancy value would be between 5-25) Our doctor then prescribed her "primolut n" tablet thrice in a day for two weeks to regularise her period but period did not occur so we went again on 28th Aug for checkup and ultrasound showed "Single intrauterine gestational sac with fetal pole seen measuring 0.60 cm corresponding to 6 weeks 2 days and Fetal FCA: Positive" We were shocked how come she is pregnant with more than 6 weeks as just 26 days beta HCG declared her non-pregnant. Our doctor then prescribed "Duphaston 10 mg twice a day for 1 month" and my wife is taking that now. I read about "primolut n" tablet during pregnancy and it says we should never use it during pregnancy and it can cause the deformation of fetus. Pz guide what should we do now, is use of contraceptive pills during pregnancy for 2 weeks is not as harmful as much as we are thinking or we should do something about it. And by the way our beta HCG test taken on 28th aug showed value of 64828.52 mIU/ml (under table its 6 week) How come we could be sure now that contraceptive pills which she took during pregnancy are not affecting the fetus?
