My mother is suffering from hiatus hernia. She regurgitate everything she eats after completing her meal. She is consuming levosulpiride medicine to increase her gut movement but still all these medicines seems ineffective. Actually she is also suffering from sarcoidosis from past 10 years and consuming azoran, omnacortil,derifyline but her health starts deteriorating from past 1 month v don't understand what to do. Any advice?

Hiatus hernia has very good response with surgery and relief from symptoms is quick. Surgery can be done laparoscopically with small holes. But get her assessed first if she is fit to undergo surgery as you say she has othet assocated problems. Otherwise medication as is going and some lifestyle change is the only solutuon, eg head end up when lying down by 30 deg, not bending forward. Regds.
