-Symptoms of dengue include high fever, headache especially behind eyeballs, muscle & joint pain, weakness, body rash, in severe cases bleeding from internal organs & organ failure
- precaution is to be taken against mosquito breeding & bite, avoid stagnation of water in & around house especially in drains, tanks, containers & flower pots, use mosquito repellent cream/ gel on exposed body parts, wear long sleeve shirt and trousers, sleep in a mosquito net, use mosquito repellent coils & mats in rooms, do fumigation in & around house
- Normally rest, adequate fluids, nutritious diet & tablet Paracetamol improves the condition, severe cases require hospitalisation for proper care & management.

Thrombocytopenia preded by fever, fatigue, joint pains etc. Preventive measures to keep immunity high, prevent mosquitoes, medicines are preventive.
