My wife is diagnosed with bells palsy on Sat 22. 09.18. She is being treated with Aciclovir 800 (5 times a day ). Neurobion forte tablet and Tears plus and Moisol eye drops (three times a day ). Is there anything else we can do to take further care. How long will she be back to normal. Basic symptoms of bells palsy are seen in her.

Usually steroids are also added to reduce the oedema of the facial nerve. Bells palsy is self limiting. Should recover in 2-3 months although some residual effect may remain. U must focus on facial excercises.
