I am 31 year old male who contracted west nile virus illness which triggered seizures. I am currently on frisium 10 mg Levetiracetam 1000 mg and 200 mg Lacosamide all twice a day. What is the minimum dose I can reach and what memory issues will I still have with the least amount where we stop?

The dosage given here are only guidelines and you have to go by the advice of your treating doctor. Levetiracetam dose is Initiate treatment with a daily dose of 1000 mg/day, given as twice-daily dosing (500 mg twice daily). Additional dosing increments may be given (1000 mg/day additional every 2 weeks) to a maximum recommended daily dose of 3000 mg. There is no evidence that doses greater than 3000 mg/day confer additional benefit. In patients already taking an antiepileptic drug (AED), maintain lacosamide at recommended maintenance dose of 150-200 mg PO BID for at least 3 days before initiating withdrawal of the previous AED.
