I am taking treatment for OSMF since 2010 and I was gutkha addict before. I have given up gutkha since many years back. My problems in my mouth is that: 1)i could hardly insert 3 fingers in my mouth. 2) there are fibrosis band on both side of the cheek. 3) there are white patches of precancerous lesions on both side of the cheek. I have consulted many doctors and they told me not to worry and gave me sm fibro medicine and placentrex oral gel to apply. They said that I will be fine as long as I dnt chew tobacco. I use to get worried if the fibrosis progresses and eventually if I can not open my mouth. And also m worried abt those white patches but the doctor told me not to worry So I want to take some advise. A) my mouth opening of 3 fingers is same from 2010. Hope it will not get reduced in future? B) m taking sm fibro and applying placentrex gel. Any more med to take? How abt intralesional injection? C) do I have to take biopsy of those white patches or its nt necessary now? Kindly help doc.
