Hello genetic/hematologist, I am thalassemia major by birth and diabetes for four yrs. I am consulting you because I hav done LFT recently for thalassemia disease where I got my SGPT-56, SGOT- 48, S. Bilirubin total - 4.0, S. Bilirubin Conjugated - 1.0 So I want to know that is my lft report normal or there is anything to worry.

Your LFT shows increased enzyme levels and it shows infection or inflammation of liver and if you are on treatment it is fine and need not cause concern . Bilirubin level is also increases and it reflects the destruction of RBC as you have thalassemia
