My mother has anemia, with Hemoglobin 5.9 which improved to 7 after Iron supplementation. She has family history of colon cancer diagnosed in her father at around 65-70 years of age. She needs a screening/diagnostic colonoscopy. She has an appointment with Gastroenterologist on Oct 24th, how soon can she get a colonoscopy as she has to travel to US on November 11th. Thanks.

As she is having iron deficiency anaemia so needs more investigation upper gi endoscopy and colonoscopy to rule out sources of blood loss. Colonoscopy is a day care procedure. She can travel at that time.
