I am 55 years old male having diabetes and hypertension from 5 years. Recently my serum creatine test show 1.02 and protein in urine all is normal. But normal range of creatine is 0.6- 1.2. And it is within the range. But GFR is 82 so it shows I have stage 2 CKD.

Hello Thanks for the query. Your creatinine level is normal only, no reason to worry. As regards the GFR that too is good enough. As we grow older GFR does reduce, that too in persons with diabetes and hypertension. That is why it is necessary to maintain blood glucose levels with in normal limits (Fasting < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <6.8 and BP 120 - 130/ 70 to 80 mm Hg). Thanks.
