My daughter got burnt 3 days back by boiled water all over her chest. She is 9 years old. A nearby hospital staff applied simplex xl cream which is sort of silverex ionic cream substitute. Next day I took her to very senior pediatric surgeon he gave ibruphen parasite tabs and antibiotics thrice a day. Then I found that cream base medicine is not doing well so on the 1st followup we asked him he said silverex ionic gel will be good. Now it's been 4 days now there is now good sign of healing. please some 1 help.

If your daughter has sustained moderate to deep burns on chest it will take atleast 2 weeks or more to heal no matter which ointment is applied. Also nowadays Collagen dressings are preferred in children to reduce pain and scarring. Please visit a plastic surgeon, who are the best in dealing with burn wounds and burn scars. However if she has sustained deep burns then Surgical procedure by skin grafting maybe required. It will depend on how long the hot water was in contact with her skin and the first aid if any given immediately.

Hello. The burns scar varies from person to person, depending upon the skin type, scar maturity, length, position and width. The treatment accordingly will vary from just a superficial dermabrasion, dermarolling, fat grafting to the scar revision surgeries. So it would be better if you can consult a nearby plastic surgeon or with me online with the photos, to decide which type of treatment would suit u. Thank u.
