Hello Doctor, I am 32 years Old. My blood sugar level is 160 after 1 hour of meal. Is it safe? If not how it can be controlled? What is the normal blood sugar level after meal? Thanks.

Normal blood sugar levels are less than 100 mg/dL after not eating (fasting) for at least eight hours. And they're less than 140 mg/dL two hours after eating.

Hi Lybrate user it's not normal. Normal blood sugar levels 100 to 120. You need medecine &diet control. You can take homopathic medicine for permanent solutions, if you want you can consult with me privately. Take care.

Hello, Thanks for the query. It is better to check fasting (after 10 to 12 hours of dinner) and after 2 hours of breakfast or lunch. Otherwise get a Oral Glucose Tolerance Test done, that will give a clear idea. Thanks.
