My 3 year old daughter has hand foot mouth disease. What should I apply on boils calamine or any antibiotic ointment like fusiol. How long l Will it take to recover and what is the sign that she is recovering? Im giving her allegra as per my pead advice. Your expert advice would be helpful. Its been 4 days .some brown thing appears on boils .does this mean its drying up?

If your child has hand foot mouth disease.HFMD,it is a viral disease and will heal in 4-7 days ( at the latest) . You may know that viral disease has no role of antibiotics and you need not unnecessarily worry. YOu should not apply calamine if the skin is broken and apply Fusiwal . Levocet which is already given will reduce the itching and only fever medication is needed if he has fever . It is a self limiting disease . You can privately consult me here in this site
