I am 22 year male. I had neck pain. I started to sit and stand straight. The neck pain is gone but I have intense upper back pain. I feel like the nerves at my upper back are being stretched very hard. The pain is not going away for the last 2 week. What should I do?

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, it is good that you are managing pain by postural modifications. The pain in your upper back may be due to weak and/or tight muscles or it might be a radiation from trigger points on your neck. It is advised to get yourself examined by a Physiotherapist. Until then perform self stretches of the neck.

It is because of the Bad Posture. I think you are having Forward Neck Posture which is producing Upper Crossed Syndrome. Try to consult with a Physiotherapist. There are lots of stretches and exercises which you need to perform in a daily basis for correcting your Bad Posture. You can try to do Retraction exercise at your home.
